Manage all aspects of respirator facility for 300+ site workers. Oversee the issuing of respirators to users through onsite database ensuring compliance with all OSHA applicable training and fit tests. Maintain inventory of respirators and of supplemental equipment such as PAPRs, cartridges, etc. by anticipating projects needs to ensure that a proper amount of inventory is in stock; 100% efficiency in keeping projects working.
Backup instructor for respirator training and conduct training for air cart attendants. Manage all breathing air needs with filling air carts and SCBAs with portable air cart as needed.
Manage all IH equipment needed by field safety representatives throughout the facility. Daily calibration of IH equipment such as 5 Gas air monitors, heat stress instruments, piston/bellows pull tube monitors and personal air monitors as well as troubleshooting any problems with the instruments. Ensure that calibration books for all IH equipment are up to date.
Recent in plant IH audit of 98% compliance with regulatory issues, best at the facility.
Coordinate with offsite companies for calibration/repair of IH and respirator equipment with ensuring the credentials of each company while seeking competitive pricing.
