• Performed gap analysis on existing emergency program. Initiated project to develop a revised Emergency Action Plan for CDE’s headquarters building. Project corrected 20+ critical deficiencies, initiated specialized training for 30+ CDE safety personnel and established standardized agreements/operations with 6 state agencies regarding emergency procedures in the Denver metro state office campus.
• Coordinated the development of a Crisis Communications Plan for CDE executive management. Project included techniques, standard operation procedures and training for internal and external communications during emergencies.
• Researched and developed a Pandemic Influenza Management Plan that determined pandemic specific strategic business issues within Colorado Department of Human Services. Business issues identified were enhanced and protected to ensure functionality in the event of a Colorado outbreak.
