Translating my retail and academic skills into administration, my aim is to be a productive asset for my employer, and put in the fullest potential to make the customer’s experience as enjoyable as possible. I have worked in a variety of locations around Canada, but I have returned back to Westport, Ontario to look for summer employment. I attended St Edward Catholic School for elementary, then onto St John in Perth. Afterward I continued my education at York University in Toronto, and moved to Vancouver, BC once my studies had ended.

As a key holder my duties at Nearly Naked were tenfold; I was accountable for opening and closing the store, generating sales for the day, cashing out customers, receiving stock, merchandising and relaying sales and messages to my employer at the end of the work day.

• Responsible for being on time to work to open the store, and also for cleaning up the establishment and locking it at closing.

• Reordered merchandise for the store, talked with wholesalers about new merchandise, ordered new merchandise through the Internet and fax machine; I was responsible for keeping a fully stocked boutique.

• Received stock for the boutique, priced it, and merchandised the store according to colour blocks and season

• Knowledgeable in using Interact, Credit, Debit machine. Also trained in issuing credit notes, refunds within customer service.

At this location, I was first trained on how to sell to an upscale target market, and also how to handle customer complaints that accompany this retail business.

• Trained how to perform bank deposits, trusted to handle large sums of company money

• Answered telephone calls, faxes from head offices in Montreal, relayed messages to management within the store. In charge of faxing, emailing and creating spreadsheets for management which were sent to head office.
