Based at the Global Headquarters, managed $49M annual spend for all metals, die castings, and forgings consumed at 12 North American Mfg facilities. Business Unit sales for 2006 were $1.6B worldwide. Products include slit coil, rounds, flats, tubing, silver contacts, bi-metals, and raw zinc in all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Other responsibilities include lead role in consolidation strategies with the 30 additional plants through out South America, Asia, and Europe.
Negotiated cold rolled and galvanized packages encompassing 8 plants, consolidating from 12 suppliers down to 3. Realized a cost reduction of 8% on $10M spend.
Negotiated red metals package encompassing 7 plants, consolidating from 18 suppliers down to 4. Realized $180k in cost reductions on a $4M spend.
In the process of transitioning $4M of galvanized and cold rolled consumption from the US to Mexico. The project creates an additional annual savings in excess of $300k.
Spearheading copper tubing project to consolidate a $20M spend in Europe, China and North & South America. Preliminary results show nearly a 10% fabrication cost reduction.
Consolidated scrap resale program for North America resulting in $650k in increased revenue.

Supervised a staff of 3-responsible for all raw material & MRO purchases for this $22M sales location. Company wide sales in 2002 were $49M. Products include slit coil, rounds, flats, and tubing in all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Managed a supplier base of outside services including polishing, plating, painting, degreasing, deburring, shot blasting, grinding, passivating, heat-treating, brazing & other special services. Other responsibilities include managing all hardware, plastics, fabricated and formed parts, laser cut parts, and stampings.
Negotiated 4-slit coil contracts resulting in $220k in savings for 2003.
Instituted a vendor managed inventory system for 90% of hardware parts resulting in a 6% price decrease, $25k annual soft cost reduction, elimination of $30k of monthly payables, and a large decrease in stock-outs.
Working with several mills on master coil / toll process program to drive metal prices down further.
Re-sourced a 90,000 per year T-Bolt forging overseas, dropping price from $4.31 each to $2.10 each.
