August 2007 to July 2011
Managing Director for two Baylor Medical Center Hospital Gift Shop locations. Recruited, trained and managed a staff of 40 volunteers. Responsible for all daily operations which included purchasing, sales promotions, store layout and product placement, daily cash control, sales reports and budget review.
Successfully increased revenue by obtaining new vendors with higher profit margins. Implemented POS (Point of Sale) program which resulted in improved inventory tracking and reports. Remodeled the store which included new fixture layout and installation of new flooring. Increased sales annually 5% to 10% in a sagging economy.
