• Managed a team of Certification engineers through the different cycles of Conformance testing by providing work plans, setting objectives and reviewing progress against schedule and cost, for both on and off-shore teams.
• Successfully managed and led the successful certification of Sony Ericsson’s first CDMA phone, including scope definition, scheduling, tracking, escalation and reporting.
• Provided technical guidance to the development team for resolving Certification hardware and software issues. Also had regular communications and reported progress to management / stakeholders.

Conformance Testing Consulting Engineer 2002-2009
• Achieved successful certification of 8 US Sony Ericsson global GSM/UMTS mobile phones. Managed the scope definition, planning, scheduling, progress tracking, reporting, and eventual success working with global cross-functional teams.
• Interfaced with project, acceptance and product management to plan and monitor scheduling, software and hardware features of the product and testing of those features.
• Provided Regulatory guidance, escalation and issue resolution for obtaining certification for FCC for SAR and HAC (Hearing Aid Compatibility). Also provided guidance for obtaining the European R&TTE (Radio & Teletype Equipment) Certification to achieve the “CE” marking, and industry requirements (PTCRB in the US, and GCF in Europe).
Senior Software Technical Lead 2000-2002
• Successfully managed a team of senior software engineers and consulting engineers that developed AMR (Adaptive Multi-Rate) functionality for Ericsson GSM mobile phones. Management included supervising the code design, code review, development, configuration management and testing of functional layers for AMR.
• Defined the architecture for the software implementation, and broke down the functionality development for every team member. Also, reviewed with the individual engineers their implementation and unit-testing of their features.
• Interfaced with Test system vendors who provided capability for testing the implementation, as well as with cross-functional development teams.
