I am seeking Mold Maker, Die Maker, and / or Working Supervisor opportunities that can utilize my comprehensive tooling knowledge and machining skills, proven leadership experience, problem solving ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence, to achieve company and personal goals.
During my 30+ years in tooling, including over 8 years as a mold and tooling company owner, I have produced outstanding quality products and product design, in a wide variety of industrial applications.
I have a strong reputation as an aggressive, resourceful, “hands-on” producer of top-rated results in quality, performance, and productivity. My detail experience is second to none.
For example, I recently completed a four year project to develop a collar and lid mold for a major baby food company. As lead mold maker, I was responsible for all phases of development, from prototype through production. This double shot mold project utilized 22,000 to 30,000 psi molds with a very short cycle time (6.5 seconds), and 27 million sets per year.
I have shown outstanding versatility in many automotive industry projects, including building
2, 3, and 4 shot molds, progressive dies, extremely close tolerance gages and special machines, Chrysler’s NS fuse box and Ford’s 80-pin, including building the molds and dies for these products.
I have owned and managed 2 successful companies for over 8 years. I built the first company from a 3 member equal partnership into a 15 employee mold shop. I was the sole owner of the second company, which specialized in close tolerance gages and detail work.
I have been involved in every aspect of business, from being the moneyman for capital expenses and quoting entire tooling programs, to fixing minor tooling issues. As a result, I have an in-depth understanding and sensitivity to company financial, productivity, and marketing issues.
At each company I have worked, I have sought and been assigned the most difficult and challenging projects. I have consistently resolved the most confusing problems, using excellent troubleshooting skills, team-oriented attitude, and proven technical expertise.
All my previous employer references are outstanding.
I greatly enjoy the challenge of producing top quality products in a “hands-on” position, as well as leadership positions and opportunities to train others.
Your Consideration is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Rick E. Keena
