Duties:

• Monitors and control implementation of the projects Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and Safety Policies.

• Recommend preventive and corrective programs and systems for the proper implementation of LPP

• Coordinate with client’s ,contractors’ safety personnel in routine checks that includes but not limited to; personal protective equipment, slinging, lifting and rigging operations, radiography tests, high pressure testing, road safety procedures and traffic regulations.

• Conducts weekly tool box meeting and check compliance of work permit requirements. Provide safety orientations for all newly deployed employees.

• Carryout frequent site inspection to ensure only safe working method being practiced.

• Monitor the inspection & maintenance of all heavy and light equipment tools to make sure that these are in good operational condition. Monitor frame high elevation work procedure accordingly,ie,scaffoldings,lifeline,man basket etc

• Conducts documented Pre-Deployment Safety Orientation with new site employees or returnees prior to mobilization to project site.

• Closely monitors scaffold erection/dismantling work, permit-required confined space entries, crane work/lifting operation, hot work, equipment tie-ins, and hazardous activities and ensure that all relevant requirements are complied.

• Ensures compliance of the Work Permit System Procedure in the plant. Participates at Corporate / Project-developed Safety Training / Incentive and Awareness Programs.
