Manage facility and plant maintenance of a Cigarette Manufacturing Facility.
Efficiently manage in excess of 30 maintenance team members including Area Leaders, Team Leaders, Multi-skilled trades people.
Responsible for overall maintenance and output for a three shift operation.
o Coordinate engineering changes and improvements involving equipment and/or processes with support groups, conducive to long range business plans.
o Coordinate in-house trades and outsourced contractors to maintain/improve facility compressed air, cooling and waste treat systems and storage tanks.
o Develop, coordinate and implement shutdown, preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Analyze and approve PM schedules monthly.

o Root cause analysis resulting in saving $120,000 in maintenance repair parts costs, completing three capital maintenance projects budgeted at $205,000 each on time and within budget and developed PM cycles and requirements.
o Manage cross-functional team to provide the coordination and removal of utilities from equipment and the removal and relocation of equipment to other manufacturing facilities due to manufacturing facility closing.
o Project managed cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists union laborers and construction contractors to design and install a $28M Increased Utilization Project, $10M Central Adhesive Delivery System, and $3M Menthol PZ Distribution System.
o Manage contractors to inspect and repair all bulk storage tanks and Safety Relief Valves to ensure adherence to the NBIC annual inspections, as well as, maintained good manufacturing procedures.
o Design and install a Central Adhesive Delivery System, which reduced plant’s environmental footprint, as well as, saved the company approximately $1.5M per year in manning and disposal costs.

o Manage the orderly, timely transition of projects from estimation to implementation. This transition included project review meetings, review of contract requirements, general conditions, schedules, budgets, subcontracts, purchase order agreements, all change orders, supplements and cost control budget adjustments.
o Review and manage the procurement schedule.
o Complete close out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner. Handle warranty call backs quickly to maintain owner/stakeholder relationships.
o Develop a streamlined warehouse management system that enabled PMUSA to terminate a bonded warehouse lease and effectively track all assets. This project saved approximately $1M a year in lease costs.
Manage the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction and close-out and ensure project management processes are implemented consistently across organization. Perform technical analysis; develop bid specifications, equipment specifications, site design, electrical systems design, piping and mechanical design, budgets, cost analysis, manpower management, and project scheduling.
