As his direct manager, I am writing this letter of recommendation to confirm that his recent layoff from Carrier Services of Tennessee was not in anyway tied to his performance and to strongly recommend him as an employee with your organization.
Given the choice, our company would not have let Chuck go. Unfortunately our company has faced challenges balancing expenses to sales revenue. This opportunity forced us to reduce our work force resulting in the loss of Chucks position. It is with regrets that Chuck was let go.
Chuck is one of the most conscientious and dedicated employees that I have been associated with in my 15 years as a manager. He has a wealth of knowledge in the transportation industry and is worthy of a supervisory position with any organization. This technical skills are sharp and he has a unique ability to make customers and other co-workers feel good about our company.
