Profile

-Senior at Michigan State University; Environmental Economics and Policy: 3.1 GPA.

-Classes focused around Environmental Science, Economics, Corporate Environmental Management, Public Policy, and Political issues relating to the Environment.

-Member of the MSU Varsity Track and Cross Country Teams.

-Major contributor to the Varsity Track and Cross Country teams. Multiple time scorer in the Big Ten Championships as well as a National Qualifier in the 3000 meter Steeplechase. Named Big Ten Runner of the Week in the Fall of 2010.

-Named Team Captain Spring 2011 and Fall 2011;

Voted team Captain by fellow teammates in consecutive years. Responsibilities include meeting with coaches to discuss team morale and focus, as well as making decisions as it relates to day to day activities of the team.

-Participant in the National Energy Education Development Project in grade school;

Took part in a project in the fifth grade centered around the collection of milk jugs and the implications these jugs would have on land fill space, oil usage, and the different uses for the recycled product. Attended a convention for the project in Washington D.C. during the subsequent summer.

Responsible for greeting customers at the door and ensuring they feel welcome as they are seated. Also in charge of clearing tables after customers have left and making sure the restaurant is clean.

-Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, Manistee, MI - June 07-Aug 07; May 08-August 08

First summer working with Martin Marietta I was assigned to summer labor and spent most of my time cleaning, painting, and shoveling. My second summer was spent monitoring and performing maintenance on brine wells through out the county.

-Forest Akers Golf Course, East Lansing, MI - June 10-August 10

Responsibilities included tending the snack bar, cleaning, and working events.

-Dicks Sporting Goods, Lansing, MI - June 10-August 10

Spent the summer working in the footwear department. Responsible for helping customers find shoes that fit their needs as well as explaining them benefits of products and warranty programs. Was very successful selling customers socks as well as warranty programs.

Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI - January 12-

Currently working for the University with a former Professor on a research project examining the effects of personality on bidding behavior in certain experimental auction settings. Responsibilities include programming auctions using the computer program Ztree, as well as designing questionnaires.
