Sep 2009 – Jan 2010 PeopleSoft functional consultant, HHC, New York City Health and Hospitals Corp.

The project has responsibilities for roll-out for earlier deployment and implementation of new deployment for health hospital facilities. PeopleSoft core HR, benefits, training and competencies implementation was main objective. My responsibilities include functional design, conversion cut over plan, data mapping, configuring job competencies and other functional roles. Below are the details of my work plan.

• Running the reconciliation report for core HR, benefits, ELM and profile management (E-performance) modules to help client look-up their data.

• Validating the benefit plans and family coverage and dependent information from their HR files and cross-validation with vendors for billing purposes.

• Worked with presentation of conversion and error reports to help users correct the data on their old system and minimize the errors during cutover.

• Created functional spec for e-performance and manager dashboard and how documents created for period for group 11 and 12 employees and approval process for evaluation through reviewer and HR admin before updating the person profile.

• Created functional spec on keeping the person profile and non-person profile in sync using batch process. The job specific, core competency and licensure were automatically updated for employees based on their job profiles.

• Created functional spec on training (ELM module) to keep their training completion and EIP to update their profiles once training is completed.

• Help user validate the courses available under each activities and how they are tied to each role during initial training roster for HR. Also help configuring the learner group based on their job and departments.

• Stage the data for opening the job opening using VCB new approved position and tying applicants (Internal Vs External) to opening and going through the interview process, routing the resume to hiring manager through making offer and acceptance of offer until hiring employee in the PeopleSoft core HR application.

Worked as a business analyst/Functional consultant in the PeopleSoft HR, manager and employee self service, stock Admin, benefit admin and compensation modules. Role include taking requirements from the business users on Manager and Employee self service application and converting them to requirement traceability matrix. Also worked as a functional consultant on identifying Peoplesoft gaps and solutions that would be built on the different modules to deliver the self service functionality. Below is the list of activities delivered.

• Worked gathering requirements on personal profile section of the employee self service application where employee can be able to update their personal information – Name, Email and phone numbers and emergency contact.

• Also gather requirement around manager self service functionality like manager view setup, change/termination process setup, print/download/save functionality of the forms.

• Helped the clients build the work flow matrix which identifies the groups or person receiving notification during approval process. PeopleSoft roles where used while identifying the person during approval chain. Functionality was added were managers or HRBP can approve or reject the request through emails.

• Worked on Global setup of the manager and employee self service based on the jobcodes, salary plan admin and grade for various countries. These also include their payroll currently setup and pre retirement or termination reimbursement criteria.

• Also built in the Admin desktop for the HR admin to query the database on error reports so that necessary actions can be taken. Admin could also maintain approval matrix or cancel the notification process.

• All of these requirements where entered in the matrix called as requirement traceability matrix which was built using modular approach and for identifying solutions for each requirements.

• Worked from a functional perspective on identifying the PeopleSoft gaps and providing solution to the module which would render the self service functionality.

• Worked on delivering new functionality to the PeopleSoft HR system from where the HRBP could be maintained by HR community. This requirement was for both US and global regions.

• Also gave solution for Peoplesoft stock admin where the share granted (RSU and NQ) where required to be maintained on a yearly basis based on the vesting schedule. The calculation logic was also derived online using strike price and estimated stock price at that point of time.

• Worked on variable compensation within the stock admin module for the benefit pay out on an annual basis.

• Worked on deriving the peoplesoft jobcode based on the commission and the Non-commission jobs and how the managers can pull up the information on the job search page for the self service application.

Worked as a principal functional consultant in PeopleSoft core HR, Base benefits, Commitment Accounting and Profile management for the school district of Lee county (SDLC). Responsibilities include taking requirement, creating gap, writing up functional spec, creating test cases and scripts and unit testing of the changes to make sure changes and customization work accordingly. Below are highlights of some of the work done in these areas.

• Worked on creating the detail specification for the additional jobs of the teachers reported in the file per the FLDOE (Florida department of education) requirements.

• Helped in taking requirements for the clients to build a process in PeopleSoft so that the special DOE job codes can be maintained in the system. These job codes has to be built-in the system so that they can be reported out to the education department.

• Worked on a functional spec on creating the custom report for the teachers union employees based on their job group, certifications and location.

• Worked on developing an interface program in the system where the employee’s HR demographic information was sent over to AP (Account payable).

• Worked on building a custom program which would synchronize the date on the Benefit enrollment tables in PeopleSoft.

• Worked on developing a program which would generate notification for the COBRA eligible employees on their new election or any change of the event.

• Also worked on the cross validation process in PeopleSoft benefit module and helped the client making modifying it slightly to work as per their needs. The changes were made to disallow employees take the STD disability plan type without taking the LTD plan and vice versa.

• Worked on writing up the spec for generating an interface program to send the billing data from the PeopleSoft database for all employees and send it over to TSA companies.

• Also worked on designing a Medicare data match process which would automate the process of sending the Medicare data to the federal agency so that, primary plan for a subscriber could be identified.

• Worked on unit testing the position budget table dependency on the commitment accounting department setup table.

Worked as a business analyst and functional expertise primarily on HR, Benefit and Payroll module (8.9 and 9.0). My role includes requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional doc, project plan and liaison between business operations and technical developers. Below are snapshot of some of the projects worked so far:

• Worked as a project lead to setup automated FAX system to send over Peoplesoft new hire information to NY state department of taxation and finance which is one of federal requirements.

• Worked with sales group to gather requirements around the .sales attributes that were needed to be added on their position records. This was the customization we had to do to the delivered product in order to accommodate the requirements.

• Worked on Manager desktop enhancement project which would give managers new capabilities to choose different activities (promote, transfer, terminate and etc) under their organization structure. This would include creating a workflow process and setting up different events and members who need notifications.

• Worked on setting up global assignment record for APAC and EMEA region countries on their job and maintain their country specific attributes. For APAC we have specific contract field values populated based on PPL (Primary permission list setup) for their business units and setid.

• Also worked on global security project to define the list of roles/rules and permission list that users in different countries can view and also on the department security for a row level security.

• Also worked in setting up the “My Clients group” for the generalist to actually view their clients and do necessary action online like calculating the head counts, fulfill certain requisitions and many more.

• Worked on setting up the communication bridge with AT&T data flow team and the PeopleSoft integration team. Help in setting up exceptional handling during call flow and building test cases.

• Worked on e-pay and e-profile self service system implementation project in order to help employee view their pay checks on the online system and also pull up achieve checks. Along with this managers could also review their direct reports comp and make necessary requests through custom workflow setup.

• Implementation of Fitness Center application within the peoplesoft which hold different demographic data of the employee and various calculations based on company's protocol. Also worked with payroll to develop the interface to setup off cycle paychecks as reimbursement.

• Work on the batch loads of the reports to, department, promotions, Compensation, location and other reorganization within each division within the PeopleSoft core tables.

• EEO and AAP report changes based on clients need. Changes include new Ethnic group and EEO categories added as per employment regulation proposed by government contractor agency.

• Worked as analyze to take requirements to setup a interface with third party system with peoplesoft and formulation of the file layout where the benefit information is send over on every quarterly basis.

• Worked also as an analyst to setup the employment verification forms on the employee self service desktop and also an interface to 3rd party to store the sensitive information related to personal data and Payroll information.
