• Helped lead plant through initial SQF audit and certification.
Bay Valley Foods, Wayland, MI. January 2009 – August 2011 Plant Production Manager. Direct all production operations for non-dairy, powdered creamers supplying both bulk, and private label retail customers in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Initiated the development and implementation of SOP’s for all production areas, including training and training matrix sign off. Reduced labor costs by 100k annually through labor optimization.
• Member of HACCP development team - process mapping, and CCP assessment.
• Implemented KPI tracking and goal setting which resulted in a 20% reduction in waste, retail rework reduction of 50% and increased retail operating efficiency of 8%.
