With changes at the general sales manager, service manager, used car manager, the finance director positions and a complete overhaul of both the new and used car inventories the dealerships monthly net profit increased well over six figures year over year within 90 days. Implemented strong and proven expense controls and produced outstanding net to sales profits. All management changes and/or promotions came from within. The dealership had not enjoyed success in over 20 months. New and used car sales volume increased upwards of 50% within that same 90 day period, with parts and service producing upwards of 900,000 in total sales. The store is still turning strong profits and all changes that were implemented are still in place today. I have a long and successful relationship with this family dating back to the mid 80’s. I resigned to take some time off and be with family.

• General Manager 2003 to 2008 - Duncanville Ford Duncanville, TX.

• Increased total new and used sales volume from 75 total units to over of 200 total new and used within the first year. Increased dealership net profit well over 1,000,000 within the first year. Rebuilt the entire dealership, including new, used, finance, service, parts, and the collision center while implementing strong and proven accounting practices. Cleaned all schedules and receivables within 90 days. Was factory approved to operate as the Dealer Principal. The dealership had gone through 3 buy-sells in a span of 6 years and had not produced a profit until my arrival. In 2008, the dealership went through another buy-sell and I was asked to stay on as GM, but opted to move back east.

Increased dealership net profit by well over 100% (six figure monthly increase) within the first year while maintaining outstanding CSI scores. Rebuilt and retrained the entire front end, including new cars, used cars and the finance department. Implemented strong parts and service policies and procedures that help increase shop efficiency and total parts and service gross by well over 50%. Cleaned all schedules and receivables. Resigned after the loss of my wife to breast cancer, to move to Dallas Texas to be close to her family.

I started with this company in the mid 80’s and have a great relationship with the Cowles family. I went back to work with the Cowles family in 2009.
