1) Radio Controlled Bomber design (August 2011-May 2012)

a. 4.5 ft. wingspan (NACA 4418), swept and tapered wing.

b. Twin engine, flying wing with a Tail.

c. Tail-dragger with twin boom.

d. Payload capabilities ( Carry 20 simulated bombs, open the bomb bay door, release the payload at the target and fly back safely)

e. Weight < 5 Lbs., materials used – Balsa, Spruce, Aluminum.

f. Fully designed in CATIA and drafted for laser cutting and assembly.

g. Successfully flew 4 laps with 360-turns and landed successfully.

h. Electric Propulsion System, Patran-Nastran used for structural analysis.

2) 1:48 Scaled B-1 Bomber wind-tunnel test. ( January 2010-May 2010)

a. Aerodynamic properties of a swing-wing (variable sweep) bomber.

b. Performance Analysis, stability analysis.

c. Flow visualization at different Reynolds Numbers.

d. Flow tripping and boundary layer analysis.
