Production / Warehouse Supervisor 2009
Supervised as many as 27 hourly warehouse and production employees per shift with efficiency percentages consistently higher than unsupervised staff. Made judgment calls with all carriers regarding loads to ship or receive and trailer / driver safety.
• Designated the “Transitional Supervisor” by the Plant Manager, covering both areas and all shifts whenever a supervisor was missing without productivity loss.
• Developed a new plan for the warehouse order builders that increased personal efficiency between 15% and 25%. This plan was approved by management and resulted in a 60% decrease in overtime.
• Lowered the BD&L by instituting good warehouse practices that included unloaded pallet checking and the elimination of multi-stacked front pallets in pick lanes and double-wrapped pallets in the warehouse.
Production Supervisor 2007 – 2008
Executed the daily start up and shut down of all production lines as well as sanitation of all production equipment. Created schedules for the sanitation staff that designated responsibilities and improved the overall cleanliness of the department. Verified that the correct raw materials were in place for all production runs.
• Designed a new sanitation plan that was approved by corporate and allowed the facility to produce sensitive products for the first time. Implementation delivered an additional $1MM in revenue.
• Changed the production schedules to allow proper equipment sanitation, resulting in a 70% decrease in overtime on 2nd shift and an 80% decrease in downtime on 1st shift.
Production Planning Supervisor / Operations Analyst 2005 – 2007
Maintained stock levels at 22 sourced facilities in 7 states including produced and purchased products. Created and modified all production schedules and inter branch transfers (IBT’s) for produced / purchased products to be shipped from the Rochester Distribution Center, balancing production schedules, inventories, forecasts and sales at 22 sales and distribution centers. Involved in Supply Chain conference calls where decisions were made on Business Unit product movement. Introduced and distributed new products produced in Rochester, ensuring compliance with established market dates.
• Initiated bottled water shipments to disaster areas during emergencies, enhancing the public image of the company. Additionally, fulfilled sizeable local hospital bottled water needs through nurturing contacts in the Supply Chain.
• Served as the sales center point of contact as well as the production distribution point of contact when remote plants needed help or were shut down, generating more than $4MM in extra business.
• Enabled facilities to plan product movement for the first time through the creation and maintenance of shipping schedules sent to all Warehouse Managers.
• Expedited month end, year end and budget planning by designing day supply, production and shipping reports for the Plant Manager as part of an ongoing process improvement initiative.
• Achieved an in stock of greater than 99.6% and an out of date of less than .2% at all sourced facilities by the use of forecasting software, day supply reports and communication with the Warehouse Managers.
• Co-created accurate forecasts based upon sales and distribution data weekly with the Sales Center Manager, entering these forecasts into the system for final approval by the Supply Team.

Operations Assistant 2003 – 2005
Oversaw all local shipment scheduling, loading and unloading activities, ensuring count and paperwork accuracy for all company trucks, common carriers and LTL loads. Supported month end and year end inventories.
• Documented all SAP shipping / receiving procedures for the first time through production of a manual, enabling faster training of new hires and consistency in processes.
• Decreased local driver reloading time 10 minutes per truck through the assumption of responsibility for the check in and checkout of all company trucks. This also released the replenisher from this duty and returned 8 – 9 hours / week for warehouse responsibilities.
• Received 1st time authority for the position to create and change purchase orders and inter branch transfers (IBT’s) which allowed instantaneous product moves in the SAP system and eliminated detention time payments ($50/hr) to trucking companies for delays due to load corrections.
THE FRIENDLY HOME, Rochester, NY 2001 – 2002
Environmental Services Supervisor
Managed the cleaning and laundry of a 200 unit nursing home with a staff of 35 hourly employees on 2 shifts. Reviewed vendors and acquired new vendors for cost saving on capital projects.
• Changed the schedule for floor care to complete the entire building quarterly, giving attention to areas that had not been done in a year.
• Organized the store room and included shelving, resulting in unimpeded access to all items and a 10% increase in storage capability.
APOLLO TOOL AND DIE, Rochester, NY 1994 – 2001
Project Manager
Quoted, purchased, reviewed new vendors and secured new and remanufacture projects from Xerox Corporation. Supervised a diverse staff of 15 employees that manufactured parts, created kits and remanufactured components for projects totaling $3.5MM per year.
• Installed a new storage system with locations that eliminated duplicate purchases of raw materials and significantly reduced the time to find materials for the machine shop.
• Increased the department from 1 project to 4 and from $60K to $3.5M per year by requesting additional projects from the client as well as taking over an assignment that was 4 weeks behind schedule. Through process revisions, delivered the assignment on time.
• Trained Xerox management from Brazil to remanufacture assemblies, enabling outsourcing at a cost savings to the client.
NORTHSTAR DELIVERY, Rochester, NY 1993 – 1994
Operations Manager
Established a new warehouse and furniture delivery service. This included setting up racks, leasing a new truck, hiring a delivery crew, moving all furniture from another facility and scheduling deliveries of past due furniture to retail customers.
