Mainframe Operations Supervisor / Tech Support

• Supervise, plan and maintain service level agreement for Line of Business and upper management

• Implement a technical support call routing scheme to accommodate high volume scenarios and severity 1 issues

• Perform IPL’s, JCL and program changes for system availability to users

• Responsible for the monitoring and recovery of online and batch flow jobs

• Maintain service level agreements for analysts of product performance

• Respond to MVS outages, maintaining system availability for 36 Lpars (Systems)

• Assist with development of an automated Disaster Recovery Bar

• Participate with the design of an automated platform to control functions

• Attend off-site Disaster Recovery tests and implementations for bank Lpars

• Monitor and correct all JCL abends through CA7, CA11, ZEKE and ZEB

• Document all system outages (including missed SLA’s) and hardware issues to upper management through Peregrine 2.0 and Infoman

• Utilize output to provide Internet services to numerous retail / wholesale users in the CICS regions.

• Provide in-service training in areas of operations with an emphasis on downloading data to mainframes utilizing TCP/IP, data re-blocking (ISPF/PDF), JCL creation, and data verification procedures.

• Delegate instructions to Tech Support, Network, Batch Operations, and Midrange Operations.
