Printing

Print large format graphics and maintain digital quality. Operate Onset Inca S40 digital printer and various printers.

Graphic Designer/Lead Production Artist, National Signage Fridley, MN 2003 – 2011

Design and manufacture custom signage:

Design and assemble custom signage, logos, and printed graphics for a diverse group of companies using various design programs and production equipment. Set up working artwork for production using proper design software.

Project Management:

Writing work orders for new projects and backing up of previous production work using Microsoft access. Prioritizing current work orders. Manage file backups. Provide timelines for employees. Check supplies and order material from numerous vendors. Quality control checks. Package and ship products.

Engraving:

Cut and engrave plastics, woods, and metals. Produce multiples of interior signage, nametags, and way finding signage using Engrave Lab software and a 25 in. x 25 in. Xenetech engraver.

Painting:

Paint different substrates such as acrylics, metals and sign foam, using Mathews paint formulas and other professional color systems.

CNC Machining:

Cut custom parts, out of plastics, woods, and metals for interior and exterior signage using a 4ft. x 8ft. CNC Gerber router, with constant attention to tooling and detail.

Large format Printing:

Create and print designs, logos and graphics on many types of different media using a HP Design jet 9000s with Wasatch Soft Rip. Accurately typeset and proofread copy. Retouch and resize designs-photos with appropriate programs. Color correction, matching PMS colors or any other spot colors. Mask cut and trims prints. Maintain and clean printer daily.

Installation:

Install interior and exterior signage. Read blueprints of building specifications and codes for proper location of signage.

Fabrication:

Design, weld signage, apply laminates to substrates, and assemble signage to pre-approved specifications.

Vinyl:

Plot, weed, mask and apply vinyl graphics to various applications.

General Labor:

Construction laborer, build and remodel homes and apartments, landscaping, painting, heavy machine operator.
