Qualifications: Ability to troubleshoot complex electronics problems to component level also Capable of trouble-shooting electro-mechanical problems. Familiar with many forms of diagnostic equipment i.e. volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, tone generators, signal generators, as well as a variety of specialized trouble-shooting equipment. I can trouble-shoot with or without a schematic or any other wiring diagram. I am familiar with RF, low voltage, high voltage as well as low and high current levels. Proficient in the soldering of SMT fine pitch SOIC many others regularly soldering 64 pin fine pitch with a microscope. I have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office proficient with Excel. Ability to use a computer and its higher function in a testing environment.

Job Title: Sr. Field Technician

Duties: Repair of equipment built by General Dynamics in support of our contracts. Build prototype equipment designed by the engineer. Aid in the prototyping, building and repair of HUT’s, Building interface modules and device interface modules. Thoroughly inspect and test the circuit for design issues and offer suggestions on how to correct any problems that I may find. Build equipment and aid others in the building process in order to produce the equipment in a timely manner and with greater efficiency. Offer design changes that would further increase the effectiveness of the equipment. Offer instruction to lesser qualified techs that will improve their efficiency and knowledge of what we are trying to accomplish. Have as much knowledge about the equipment as is possible hardware, electronics and software so that I may repair or aid in the repair of the equipment either by hands on or by phone. The main focus is computer integrated equipment used in training troops for live fire exercises. Camera control equipment and other integration equipment used to tie many pieces of equipment together. Perform duties in house on build and repair or travel to the job sites as needed to aid in installation of equipment or to install a specialized upgrade to existing equipment. Help develop and build equipment used on Mout sites, CACTF’s, shoot-houses, and UAC’s. Work with the integration of smoke and smell generators, lifters and other equipment used in live fire exercises. Go to the job sites and install cameras, speakers, computer control equipment whatever may be necessary to complete the job. Maintain a working knowledge of the equipment being built today as well as the equipment we have built previously for retrofitting at job sites. We always try to look toward the future this branch of General Dynamics works mostly in Army integration.
