Chevron's ETP (Effluent Treatment Project) Pascagoula, Mississippi Refinery
• As a Structural Welder on the job, I used SMAW to make UT quality butt welds on column splices. Welded new connection clips, base plates on top of existing columns and other structural members.
• Worked as a connector erecting pipe rack bents and fill in iron on top of an existing structure. Most members were erected using a crane, but at times had to use bull rigging methods using chain falls and come-a-longs.
• Rigged on several hydraulic cranes. The rigs varied from 15 ton Gallion neck-breaker type cranes up to a 200 ton Demag truck crane.
• Erected miscellaneous iron such as pipe supports, access platforms, fin-fan structures, transformer pads and stairways. Also laid grating and welded, fitted and fabricated hand rails.
• As leadman on this project I worked with my fellow Ironworkers to ensure all tasks were performed safely, correctly and completed in a timely manner. My crew finished this project without a single first aid incident.
• Prepared job safety analysis' (JSA) and obtained general and hot work permits through plant protection.

• Demolished and re-erected storage warehouse at Mississippi State Docks.
• Erected a BMG Marine ship unloader. During this erection my co-workers and I successfully completed two 300 ton lifts.
• Operated 50 ton Terex picker and all-terrain forklifts with up to a 12,000 pound capacity rate.
• Erected a network of conveyor belt structures, a bucket elevator structure, and a distribution center on top of six 300' concrete slip form tanks.
• Assisted in installing conveyor belts, air-slide conveyors, rollers, impact beds and other machinery at this facility.
• Made quality welds using SMAW on structural members.
• Rigged for an American 9310 model crane equipped with the Sky-horse attachment.

• Erected structural steel members using bolt-up and welding methods. Also erected metal building parts such as roof purlins and wall girts. Sheeted roofs and walls using R-panel sheeting.
• Installed overhead cranes and their components such as crane girders, crane rails and crane stops. Used rotating laser levels as well as distance finding lasers to align them properly.
• Set concrete tilt-up walls, pre-cast concrete panels and beams. At times more than one crane was necessary to complete the lift.
• Welded structural members such as K-braces, moment conections, column splices, bar joists and other miscellaneous items such as handrails, bridging, roof and floor decking.
• Operated machinery such as all terrain fork lifts with a 10,000 pound rated capacity, aerial lifts up to 135' in reach and small carry- deck style cranes.
• Worked in lay-down yard keeping inventory of material that was on site. Delivered this material to the working radius of a crane as needed to assure there was no down time during erection.
• Pushed small crew of 8 entry level Ironworkers. This crew and I were assigned by our foreman to bolt-up and impact structural members.

I-10 Jourdan River Bridge. Bay St. Louis, MS.
MS. Hwy 98 Leaf River Bridge. McClain, MS.
• Rigged on American 9299 and 9310 model cranes that drove concrete and sheet pilings. Hooked up pile driving hammer, vibratory hammer and leads, as well as new pilings.
• Set pre-cast concrete bridge girders as well as steel bridge girders up to 63 tons. Connected all necessary fill in iron and bracing using A 325 structural grade bolts.
• Worked on push boat moving material barges, and crane barges to locations that were within the crane's safe working radius.
• Assisted in the demolition of the existing bridges after completion of the new structure.
• Tied reinforcing steel for concrete pours on bridge deck as well as on pile caps and bridge footings.
• Erected all cranes prior to starting this project as well as dismantled them after completion. Assisted in all necessary maintenance to these cranes.
