Recruited to upgrade and replace obsolete technologies at this world-class air freight organization with more than 1600 users in 60 remote locations. Hired, trained, developed, and lead a 16-person technical team. Scope of position was expansive and included departmental direction and full design, installation, engineering, implementation, support, training, administration, and management authority for:

- Applications Systems (120 Physical/200 Virtual Servers)

- PC Desktop Systems

CORPORATE NETWORK OPERATIONS IT DIRECTOR – IGA Worldwide, Inc. Guilford, CT 03/2006-11/2011

Built and managed Information Systems, Technical Support, and Development Departments for this start up In-Game Advertisement firm. Also, oversaw 7x24x365 computer operations, and managed budgets along with the creation of a full Data Center from the ground up and established Change Control policies, Project Management, and Issue Tracking systems for the corporation.

Installed, configured and maintained Cisco Firewalls, Switches, and Load Balancers. Managed all IGA user Desktop and Laptop computers, as well as Data Center for 60 million + user In-Game Ad Placement and Reporting Network. Served as lead Project Manager for server installations and migrations (Windows 2003 to Windows 2008), and saved several hundred thousand dollars on software license, network and hardware costs. Completed the company’s first DR/BCP plan that was been published to investors and upper management. Also provided support for over 80 worldwide corporate employees.

ENTERPRISE IT MANAGER - Tangoe, Inc. Orange, CT 07/2005-03/2006

Engaged as Manager of Operations support staff (4 Direct Reports), for this Telecom Expense Management company. Key technology liaison to the business user community, and Project Manager for all infrastructure, BCP, and DR initiatives. Primarily responsible for staff evaluations, levels, and assisting with enterprise capital budget planning along with data center operations (new system builds, upgrades, power distribution, backup and recovery, and monitoring).

DIRECTOR OF IT OPERATIONS – SS&C Technologies, Inc. Windsor, CT 03/2004-07/2005

Recruited as the Director of IT Operations support staff (16+ Direct Reports), Technology liaison to the business user community and Project Manager for all infrastructure, BCP, and DR initiatives. Planned and implemented all new system builds, upgrades, power distribution, backup and recovery, and monitoring. During my tenure, I successfully managed simultaneous Sarbanes-Oxley and SAS 70 Level II audits, planned the consolidation of 3 acquired company Data Centers’ (along with their daily operations), into the Windsor, CT Data Center and established new Change Control, Customer Profile, Project Management, and Issue Tracking systems for the corporation.

DATA CENTER PLATFORM SUPPORT MANAGER – Hartford Life, Inc. Simsbury, CT 05/2001-08/2003

Hired as Manager of Platform support staff (18 Direct Reports), and technical management liaison to the business user community. Managed two enterprise data centers with over 400 Sun/HP and 600 Wintel servers and acted as technical project manager for all infrastructure and DR initiatives.

SENIOR MANAGER OF TECHNICAL STAFF / UNIX – Oxford Health Plans, Inc. Trumbull, CT 11/1999-05/2001

Managed system administrators for SAS and EIS data warehouse systems running on SUN Solaris and AIX operating system platforms. New program installation, test, and integration system wide. Part of criteria selection team for several IS upgrade/new infrastructure projects for 4000+ user base. Member of project team for IT capital budget creation. Worked with all business lines to properly budget for their projected growth. (Note: Oxford Health Plans outsourced all IT functions to CSC on 01/2001).

NATIONAL INSTALLATION MANAGER – The Credit Bureau Of Connecticut. West Haven, CT 11/1989-09/1999

Technical Manager of customer service technical staff (13 Direct Reports). Planned and implemented all computer system installations (In-house and national customer installs) for mortgage reporting systems that were designed by the Credit Bureau of Connecticut development team.
