I run the receiving office for the Library of Congress at Landover Center Annex. My responsibilities include the physical receipt, inspection, verification, documentation, and accounting of various products utilized by the Library, these products include: supplies, furniture, computers, and equipment. My main focus is to make sure those materials are received in good condition and channeled to the proper destination – direct delivery to customer or warehouse storage. This includes: insuring that each delivery is properly documented with date received, invoice number, receiving personnel, piece count, carrier, and status (partial or complete). In addition, I make sure each order is properly labeled with customer name, room number, purchase order number, and piece count. I make sure all paperwork is correctly completed, channeled in the right direction and filed in the proper locations. I help with the weekly and monthly reports.

Supply Technician (40 hrs)
I work independently and use my own discretion when assuming duties as a supply technician in the Madison Store. On a daily basis, I maintain inventory of stock. I routinely participate in maintaining the perpetual inventory of stock. I review and analyze all in-coming requisitions for supplies, materials and publications for accuracy, clarity, funding codes, quantity or substitutions when feasible or more economical and depending on stock availability issue supplies. Check-in delivered supplies for completeness and accuracy and determine whether to put in warehouse or directly on supply shelves. I input various receipts, shipment, inventory adjustments and accounting documents covering all issuances and receipts of supply transactions data into on-line systems. I inform supervisor of any problems with receipts before completing check-in process. Expedite emergency request for supplies. Place supplies in suitable containers for delivery. Maintain back-order file for items temporarily out of stock. I maintain proper bin stock arrangement on shelves and assist in maintaining warehouse bulk stock of bin supply items, assuring that material is identified by correct stock number and stored safely and properly in pallets or skids, I assure all Library wide forms maintained are current as to revision date both on the shelves and in the Supply Master File. I prepare the section's Time and Attendance records/transmittals and other duties as assigned.

Procurement Assistant (40 hrs)
I solicited, negotiated, and prepared documents to award purchases under $100,000. Using the Simplified Acquisition procurement method, I solicited vendors orally for purchase actions under $2500, and prepared the award documents for the Contracting Officer's signature. For acquisitions over $25,000, I issued written Request For Quotes to vendors, determined price reasonableness, and prepared award documents for signature of the Contracting Officer. I was assigned to a special team to reduce the backlog of contracts that needed to be closed out. Working with a Contract Closeout Checklist, I performed all of the tasks needed to accomplish closeout of contracts. The Closeout Team, of which I was a part, closed out hundreds of contracts, and caused recovery to the U.S. Treasury of over $2 million. The Team received an award for our efforts. I monitored Blanket Purchase Arrangement order levels for supplies, and placed delivery orders against them. I was authorized to place orders, as I was the Supply Tech, managing the Reimbursable Supply Store. In my capacity as the Supply Tech in charge of the Reimbursable Supply Store. I also was responsible for making and setting up appointments with vendors. Other duties that were assigned included mailing orders to vendors, faxing, xeroxing and maintaining central system. Between June and August I processed orders to de-obligate funds.
