Compensation Consultant, 08 /09 - Current
Responsibilities include the analysis of market data representing medical and support personnel utilized by the Medical Center. The market data drives the development of competitive special salary rate proposals presented to local executive leadership. The special rates are subsequently packaged and presented to Veteran Affairs Headquarter staff at VACO and OPM as required. Responsibilities also include developing competitive Nursing, Nursing management, CRNA and Nurse Practitioner salary ranges annually. Participation in numerous local, regional and national salary surveys to support data acquisition and structure development. Review and evaluate all Physician salary recommendations compared to nationally recognized salary surveys and the development of recruitment and retention incentives as needed to assure competitiveness. Function as a liaison with the Classification function, assuring all organization chart documentation is accurate and up to date. Assist Service Chiefs, Business Managers, Supervisors and Officers to develop accurate Position Descriptions (PD’s). Utilization of VACO generated HRIS data to assure consistency in all employee salary actions and completion of SF52.

I was the overall Project Manager for this assignment; this included utilizing MS Project to keep all parties on track and schedule.

Designed and implemented Long Term Executive Incentive program addressing retention of executive team members. project managed both Oracle 7 ERP and PeopleSoft software implementations. I lead and project managed the overall Fujitsu (15,000 employees) healthcare provider selection team. By selecting the chosen provider, Fujitsu reduced overall benefit expenses $5 million annually while improving overall benefit package.
