Title IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPERCHARGER IN A SINGLE CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE.

Description Our project is concerned with the modification of a 4-stroke single cylinder diesel engine. We have modified an ordinary diesel engine to harness more power and give out more efficiency by implementing a supercharger so that it can increase the air intake in the engine to enhance combustion.

“Supercharging is a phenomenon of taking in excess amount of air in an internal combustion engine to increase the mass flow rate of air entering it.”

The uniqueness of the project is the implementation of super charger in a “single cylinder diesel engine”. And we have successfully been able to increase the power by 2.6%. And marginal increase in fuel efficiency.
