Lead Ariba Software Development Consultant
• Lead full software development lifecycle activities for Ariba software development
activities in specific functional areas, including critical Requisition import functionalities,
Purchase Order processing, and Goods Receiving.
• Collaborated with three diverse Change Managers from the business areas to clarify and
detail requirements by leading design review sessions, researched technical
customizations, and provided necessary information to assist the business partners in
adding/removing/updating requirements as needed based on functional and technical
expertise.

and eForms. Detailed issues found, and ensured responsible developer was up to speed

• Technical project lead for 18-month long data migration activities from Ariba Buyer
indirect purchasing system, affiliate direct materials ERP systems (JDE, SAP, others),
and legacy mainframe Accounts Payable system onto SAP via various technologyfocused
methods – along with pre-load data quality analysis and post-load reconciliation
reporting for auditing purposes.
• Responsible for management of two Ernst & Young contractor resources, several other
contractor and employee resources, and collaboration with appropriate Accounts
Payable, Information Technology, and affiliate finance resources within corporate to
ensure project success.
• Leveraged lessons learned from previous rollouts to allow for more streamlined and
effective data migration and reconciliation activities.
• Designed and developed technical data interfaces to allow Global Supplier data to be
shared between procurement and payables systems.
2006 – 2007
• Technical Lead for all enhancements to Ariba Buyer and management over all
developers (employee and contractors), including design reviews, code reviews,
technical oversight, resource allocation, and production system issue resolution.
• Hands-on technical lead and project lead for J&J Totality implementation, which
integrated a new Health Care Compliance (HCC) system (Savvion) with the Ariba Buyer
application in order to standardize the request for, approval of, and payment to
Healthcare professionals and their service organizations.
• Assisted with migration of code from Ariba Buyer release 8.1 to 8.2 in areas where I had
previous experience (accounting model, ERP integration) and performed system testing
to validate that code was successfully migrated.
• Designed and developed ASP.NET application for Johnson & Johnson’s new Long Term
Incentive and Bonus Choice plans to enable eligible employees to choose their
allocations of stock options vs. restricted stock units and cash bonus vs. J&J stock.

to executive compensation eligible employees throughout the U.S.

Information Technology Senior Analyst (May 2001 – February 2006)
2004 -2005
• Performed System Architect lead role within the team for the upgrade of Ariba Buyer to
version 8.1
• Managed migration of code from 7.1 to 8.1, as well as overseeing developers (employees
and contractors) and assisting them with code migration activities across over 500 units
of code.
• Ensured that the extensive custom code that was written would remain effective in the
new version of Ariba and updated modules to take advantage of new API.
• Managed code merge efforts that involved a team of developers and large amounts of
code to merge two instances of Ariba systems that had been involved in parallel
development tasks for almost a full year (ERP system integration).
2003
• Designed and developed customizations to the Accounting object model within Ariba to
allow the application to correctly store financial accounting information for any current
and potential ERP system throughout the enterprise, allowing for real-time accounting
string validation, requisition budget checking, and final requisition via webMethods
middleware layer. Documented and trained other team members on the technical
aspects to ensure that future development would effectively leverage the major
customizations.
• Provided tier-3 production support to the tier 1 and 2 help desk personnel by researching
issues, providing them with the right direction to diagnose problems, and offering advice
on potential bug fixes and performance-related enhancements.
2001 – 2002
• Quickly established myself as the key employee developer on the Ariba Buyer Pilot and
initial Go-Live for Indirect Procurement at Johnson & Johnson in the U.S. and shortly
thereafter became an official Ariba Certified Application Developer.
• Developed a robust User Administration form in Ariba Buyer that allows quick updating of
User data and satisfies auditing requirements via approval flow.
• Designed, by incorporating current business processes along with the ideas of other
team members, and developed a Functional Audit electronic form and Business Rules
engine that significantly reduced base business time of technical staff. Demonstrated this
functionality to Ariba Corporation and presented this application to a workgroup made up
of Ariba clients for potential integration in future Ariba core offerings.
• Developed a Receipt Change eForm to enable end users to change the quantity
accepted on previously approved Receipts.
• Developed a Functional Audit eForm and custom approval rules to allow J&J affiliates to
add approvers/watchers to Requisitions based on vendor, commodity code, accounting
fields, etc.
Associate Analyst (May 1999 - March 2000)
• Provided support to all Corporate Information Management personnel in HTML
development, Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Visual InterDev, and ASP.
• Developed dynamically generated intranet sites using ASP with Oracle DB backend

• Documented Y2K Contingency plans and performed Y2K testing for highly visible
