Delphi
At Delphi I had the opportunity to be hired as Co-op student and spent the next 18 years growing and learning all the HR functions, I had the opportunity to hands-on train, hire and manage all the HR related activities. From co-op to HR assistant, Hr Supervisor, general supervisor manager and Director of the function. Among some of my most important achievements are: lead the expansion of the technical group for several divisions to establish the Mexican Technical Center in Juarez, lead project manager for initiatives such as college recruiting, intern programs, US National and Mexican National hiring strategy, implementing and using tools like Targeted Selection Process TM. and intense selection plans. Also I was in charge of establishing the newest site for Delphi in Mexico (Delphi Thermal), and due in big part to the selection strategy and the progression and promotion scheme designed and implemented we were able to make these new operation profitable in less than 3 years and by the fifth year it way the best Delphi Thermal operation in all key metrics, one of the most noticeable accomplishments of this strategic plan was that in the first 8 years of operations we only had two individual labor law suits, and both were won by Delphi, we did all this at the time that I was in Charge of two different Divisions in Delphi and by collaboration between two divisions I was able to exceed both Operation's objectives in establishing the infrastructure to make the model a success and implement a winning workforce strategy in a most difficult structure. I spent my last three years in Delphi at the Thermal Davison corporate offices in Lockport NY. As responsible of the Global Organizational Development and Expatriate department, there I was able to implement leadership development programs using Situational Leadership II, participate in the implementation of the Lean Leadership University Program, help develop and implement the Team Delphi annual program, Implemented the Delphi Manufacturing System (After the TMS), lead the ISO implementation globally for the HR Department, Implemented the Mentoring program for High potential and key employees, Facilitated several trainings at Global Leadership level for team building and strategic planning events, using innovative tools like DISC TEAM TM.
