Welding Engineer (March 2008 – July, 2008).

 Provide technical feedback to company’s West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico engineering, estimating and project management groups to enhance Pipeline, SCR and Structural work project performance.

 Review customer’s specifications to determine the correct material, code and weld procedures to be utilized for the pipeline, structural, and SCR work. This includes; process selection, material and consumable selection.

 Prepare and submit weld procedures (WPS) and (WPQR) on wide range of carbon, stainless, aluminum steel and alloys as per AWS, ASME IX, API and DNV codes to ensure compliance for customer’s review and acceptance.

 Review project engineering drawings and customer documents to produce Weld maps and WPAR.

 Provide technical support to the QC Supervisors, QC Technicians and Weld Foreman Offshore and onshore to ensure satisfactory performance which meets the customer’s needs and code requirements.

 Assist in set-up and administration of training and qualification programs for welders on project need basis.

 Assist in quality improvement initiatives and the review of statistical data to determine and implement ways to continually improve reduction of weld repairs and weld re-work.

 Using NDT methods such as: Radiography (RT), liquid and dye penetrant, ultrasonic (UT) or other NDE inspections as required for continued process improvements.

 Fabrication of pressure vessel applications using the materials such as: Stainless alloys primarily 304L, 316L and carbon steel alloys range from A36/ A500 structural to SA516-70N/ SA537 Cl1 material for low temperature service.
