Key Accomplishments

• Led PCI compliance for Pizza Hut from 2007 to 2012 and was instrumental in the brand passing PCI audits for 5 years in a row.

• Created a proprietary install for unattended OS migrations from SCO OpenServer to Linux where one did not exist previously. This allowed for a successful migration to Linux to 4000+ systems

• Created a modified unattended install for installing Linux GUI POS image on over 16000+ POS terminals using SystemImager and PXE

• Created PHDR in-store disaster recovery which allowed for recovering a downed system within 5-10 minutes versus 3-4 SLAs for on site tech visits to recover system

• Played an integral role in successfully upgrading 4000+ UNIX operating systems remotely from SCO OpenServer 5.0.0 to 5.0.6a keeping all field systems current and supportable.

• Improved the overall integrity of all field operating systems by keeping patches and drivers current as well as remotely administering operating system tunable, accounts, and software databases keeping them in a pristine state. This insured less systems down in the field.

• Successfully created last minute install scripts for a UNIX PDF viewer, libraries and fonts to support a national application downloads which enabled sending out soft copy training materials to the field. This project saved the company over $200,000 in overall printing / shipping costs.

• Consistently and successfully supported the development team on an ongoing basis by identifying and resolving application / terminal emulation problems with terminal capabilities, screen attributes, and function key operations.

• Consolidated 21 UNIX Golden Master images first down to 3 – Received RIS STAR award (12/2001) then down to 1 Master image – Received “RIS ROCKS award from CIO (Feb 2004) by creating innovative configuration utilities that allowed one image to be used on many different hardware platforms and configurations (IDE, SCSI, SATA). This helped to lower company costs by minimizing complexity and improving quality.

• Streamlined above store polling process for Monolith which resulted in overall savings in polling costs.
