• Develop the Bill of Material (BOM) with product engineering and determine the engineering design freeze date based on new part complexity and customer expectations.

• Review critical components and projected lead times for release to purchasing dates, prepare manufacturing, test and delivery schedules.

• Communicate the cost and lead time then negotiate the selling price delivery with the customer.

Total dollar value of purchase orders issued in 2008 exceeded $20 million.

Instrumental in the development of General Motors Programs and Chrysler Power Wagon programs. Supported both AAM China and Thailand plants, with prototypes from program inception through prototype and production kick-off.

Reduced open orders status from $17M to $6M to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting to increase stock holder value.

Leadership of the new facility renovation and construction activities at the Amphibious Systems Technology Center in Woodbridge Virginia which included the demolition and construction of new areas to facilitate the tracked vehicle development. Improved the schedule and maintained the cost within the projected estimate to complete (EAC) which minimized the capital carryover.

Conducted program status review meetings with buyers, follow-up status, and conduct material reviews with engineering. Resolve supplier problems to ensure hardware delivery to the program schedule requirements.

I have held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility, complexity and difficulty from 1972 through 1982 when General Dynamics purchased the Chrysler Defense Division.
