Northwestern Memorial Hospital is one of the countries most prestigious academic medical centers. The Nuclear Medicine department services over 14,000 patients per year. *Knowledge of Siemens and Phillips gamma cameras and operating systems
*Experience performing procedures on both PET/CT and SPECT/CT systems
*Ability to reconstruct quality SPECT images in cardiac and general nuclear medicine procedures using appropriate filters, reconstruction methods, and slice selection
*Perform quality control procedures on department equipment including; gamma cameras, thyroid uptake probe, PET, and CT
*Knowledge and experience in radiopharmaceutical preparation and quality control with experience/knowledge of USP-797 regulations and procedures
*Properly stores and disposes of radioactive waste and materials as required by law
*Maintains records for all necessary department procedures as required by department protocols or licensing agency; including quality control, radiation exposure, patient dosages, shipping and receiving records, and room/staff surveys
