Birchview provides room, board and nursing care for residents afflicted with Alzheimer's disease and all other forms of dementia. I worked as NOC shift lead and primary med tech until October 2009 when I reduced my hours to part time and became secondary med tech. In February 2010 I changed shifts to days and resumed a standard caregiver role.
Duties include: Personal care for residents up to and including full assistance with activities of daily living, general medical observation, medication administration, training of new employees, supervising of current employees, light housekeeping, laundry and supply stocking.
