Project: BOSS (Broadband Operation Support System)
Role: Team member
BOSS aims to be a family of Software Solutions for Broadband Networks Focusing first on local HFC operations. It borrows the best from Network Management, GIS and Work Force Management without the Overhead. It is intended to be targeted and Specialized, Modular and Cost-Effective and also Interoperable with Other OSS Systems.
It is a distributed system for managing and operating an HFC based broadband distribution and communications network. It is a predictive proactive system designed to integrate the diverse collection of existing systems deployed across the industry. It is a highly flexible and modular solution that allows an operator to buy only the individual modules that will add value today and rapidly grow and change as the needs change. There are many modules like Device Manager, Service Manager and Test Manager.
The Test Manager component is used by the client applications to create and access the addressable devices. The clients request the Test manager to test devices for them. All the clients share the same Test manager instance. The Test manager keeps an internal pool for devices. So when another client requests for the same device it will be provided from the pool.
Responsibilities
· Involved in the documentation of Test Manager Module.
· Developed the Test Manager module.
· Involve in the bug fixes and various enhancements.
· Preparation of Unit Test Cases and executed the test cases.
Environment: Visual Studio 2003, Visual Source Safe, C#, ASP.net, .net Framework 1.0, Windows XP Professional

Project: Controller Area Network BECU
Role: Team member
DENSO Japan has developed CAN (Controller Area Network) based electronic control unit for vehicle automation. The functionality of the system can be evaluated using workbench and with the help of CAN Analyzer. The workbench could also be used to simulate various options like light on, ignition on etc. The ECU (Electronic Control Unit) supports two CAN channels having bit rates of 500 kHz and 250 kHz. The test cases has been generated for the evaluating the same. The performance of CAN based ECU is to be evaluated by NeST using these test cases. The test case results will be judged by comparing the results with the expected values in the judgment sheet specific to each vehicle and test cases. The test results are entered in either or the entire test results documents provided as instructed in the test cases.
Responsibilities
· Involved in the preparation and execution of test cases.
· Involved in the review of test cases.
Environment: Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Source Safe, C++, Windows CE 5.0

Project: Honda Navigation System
Role: Team member
This Project involves developing the navigation system. It is a satellite navigation system designed for use in automobiles. It uses a GPS navigation device to acquire position data to locate the user on a road in the map. There are three main controls in this system. Menu Control— this provides a traditional navigational interface, typically down the side, or across the top. TreeView Control— this provides a vertical tree-like user interface that can be expanded and collapsed by selecting the individual nodes. Site Map Path Control—it keeps track of where a user is within the site hierarchy. It displays the current location as a trail, typically from the destination to the current location, making it easier for the user to see where he or she is, and to navigate back to other places on the trail.
Responsibilities
· Developed the Site Map Path Control.
· Prepared Code Review documents.
· Involved in the Bug fixes and enhancements.
· Preparation and execution of Unit Test Cases.
Environment: Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Source Safe, C++, Windows CE 5.0

Project: SD Card driver
Role: Team member
This Project involves developing a SD Card driver. It is a memory card used to make storage portable among various devices. It provides a high data-transfer rate, low battery power consumption, and storage that is portable among various devices. SD cards use flash memory to implement non-volatile storage for both read\write and read-only data. The main part of it is the SD Card Host Controller Device. It is the software component that controls the host controller hardware and conforms to a host controller software interface that the bus driver uses to communicate and set operating parameters.
Responsibilities:
· Developed the SD Card Host Controller Device.
· Preparation and execution of Unit Test Cases.
· Involved in the Bug fixes and enhancements.
· Preparation of code review documents.
Environment: C++, Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Source Safe, Windows CE 5.0
