Manufacturer of structural steel framed machines for the glass / fenestration industry. Equipment varies from simple relay logic to complex computer controlled systems of machines including a self-produced 6-axis robotic applicator.
Manufacturing Manager - Reporting to VP Finance (Truseal Technologies) and responsible for Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling and Plant Management.
• Increased production of the most complex machine by 2.5 times without increasing headcount by focusing production and engineering on their most important tasks.
• Developed a 12-month production plan to guide sales representatives’ and customer expectations. Plan included machine upgrade schedule.
• Led LEAN training initiative training 90% of the shop and office personnel. This led to multiple projects including one that reduced shop supplies by 35% while increasing availability using a Kanban system.
