Organize pathology specimens. Assign accession members. Assist pathologist with examination. Prepare specimens for processing. Perform gross examination on reference tissue. Responsible for tissue inventory and disposal. • Perform specialized staining procedures. Prepare stains. Follow staining procedures. Maintain inventory of chemicals, stains and controls. Immunohistochemistry stains are also performed. • Clean lab equipment/ work area and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department staff. • Responsible for a variety of miscellaneous processing and other activities, performs lymphnode clearing.
