Linguistic Background: Pakistani native and graduated (BA) in 1980 with major in Political Science and Economics. Urdu and Punjabi are my maternal and native languages and cultural knowledge and values are part of my heritage. I posses a great knowledge of local and region’s politics. Though, never worked as an assigned full time linguist but I have provided linguistic support to different agencies and currently enrolled with FBI to provide linguistic assistance. I have also provided linguistic assistance to French Police and social services in Paris during two years of study in France. Supervisory Officer/ Terminal Manager (Acting) 6/2002 - Present

Since the day one, I have been assigned to various challenging positions for the most part of my career with TSA. Not long ago, I was assigned as a Supervisory Watch Officer at the Incident Command Center (ICC) TSA/ US Department of Homeland Security, Washington, IAD for over a year. In ICC, I assisted the FSD Staff and security managers in initiating and sustaining all incidents response missions and functions. The responsibilities included implementing initial incident action plans, initiating mission assignments to notify other federal agencies, identifying and alerting appropriate TSA senior officials, drafting and distributing incidents reports, executive summaries, briefings, etc. to FSD (Federal Security Director). Maintained national security awareness by collecting, analyzing and disseminating information from a variety of sources and briefings and through close coordination and communications with other Federal departments and agencies and with other Operations centers within the Department, including TSOC (Transportation Security Operation Center). Responsibilities also included; assisting FAM (Federal Air Marshal) escort operation, coordinating and assisting with VIP and diplomatic movement, assisting federal security screening operations for passenger air transportation. In ICC, I was also responsible for accuracy of all data submissions, such as Airline Flight Statistics, PMIS and PARIS etc. Prior to ICC detailed position, I was assigned as a Terminal Security Manager (Acting) to supervise and carry out program and regulatory activities at Washington Dulles Airport. At this position for almost a year, I assisted CBP and ICE and coordinated the Gate Selectee Screening Operation. The very first mission I was assigned to supervise the Mobile Screening Force where I assisted the mission to federalize all US Airports. During that period of 6 months, I provided the initial on the job training to new Federal Screening Force at various airports and contributed to the overall success of the TSA mission by discovering, preventing, and dealing with threats to aviation security. Assisted in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, instructions and to provide linguistic support to assist in security violations inquiries and investigations.

•Managed the customer service and flight operation department of a 212 personnel inclusive of customer service agents, team leads and supervisors while overseeing the operational budget, training branch, records, and irregular flight ops sections.
