After 35 years of continuous employment, and 16 years as General Manager for three commercial heat treating plants in Illinois and Indiana, and having guided them through good times and bad, I am seeking a position that will put my knowledge to work as an improvement specialist. I am experienced in working with the automotive and metals industries. Seeking new challenges, I believe that such experience will allow me to assist another organization to record profits through efficiency techniques, cost-cutting processes, employee participation, and quality control expertise. I am willing to relocate, if necessary. I speak and understand some Spanish.

Experience includes: Production, Quality, Personnel, Safety and all other Plant Operations, including:

• Capital planning • Customer contact

This resulted in providing quick turn-around time on truckloads of material, customer satisfaction and devoted, satisfied employees.

• Managed a new plant through construction, equipment installation, hiring, and production safely to record profits. Guided another plant that had lost money for 15 years into the black in 1- years by lowering the turn around time and improving communication resulting in high customer satisfaction.

• Working with customers to meet their needs while maintaining efficiency in our system. My plants have the highest customer satisfaction rating in the Bluewater Thermal Solutions group. (17 plants)

• Awareness of upcoming industry standards and initiated aggressive training requirements. Successfully headed the project to become the first commercial heat treater in the nation registered to QS9000. With my guidance, currently ISO9001: 2000 Registered and TS16949:2002/CQI-9 compliant. Personal Goals and Achievements: • Guided the Indiana Plant to two consecutive State of Indiana Quality Improvement Awards. • Kept the plant profitable during economic downturns without losing key people. • Managed a plant that has gone four years without a lost time accident. • Instituted safety projects to improve ergonomics, noise reduction, and ambient heat reduction.
