Human Resources Manager/Director
Serve as the senior human resources administrator to implement strategic support to the human resources function, providing guidance and overview for the long-range direction and goals of organizational planning and growth.

• Provide guidance, consultation, support and education to site administrators relative to all areas of Human Resources Administration and Management, while adhering to respective state and federal employment laws, charter documents and organizational mission and goals.
• Work with site administrators to identify staffing needs and site configurations. Drive the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of certificated teachers and classified staff to select and place the best possible employees for service within our targeted communities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with site administrators, instructional staff and classified support staff in order to effectively serve as a liaison between management and employees, and facilitate advocacy on behalf of both the school’s and employee’s interests, balancing the needs of both and making organizational recommendations as appropriate.

Respond to grievances and concerns, meet with staff, conduct interviews and investigations as needed, draft and submit reports of findings and administrative recommendations to Executive Director for final determination and action.
• Design and implement training programs and organization initiatives to increase effective operations as well as increase staff understanding of organizational policies and procedures.
• Current Key Initiatives:
• Develop a formalized Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP) and internal Return to Work program and policies in compliance with organizational mission and goals, federal and state laws. Develop health and welfare programs and a formalized network Safety Committee and “Wellness Champions” to educate employees on safe working conditions to reduce accidents and time off of work.
• Formulate updated recruitment initiatives while streamlining screening and selection processes for more effective hiring timelines with administrative hiring team.

Trainer/Professional Development Presenter
• Key member of the State Assessment Trainer team for the Sacramento County BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support & Assessment) Division. Responsible for the design and implementation of adult education workshops for new teachers; and for providing guidance, coaching and support to new teachers as they navigate the state induction and credentialing process.
