DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities (Pentane tank, piping & cross country pipeline 15 km)

Tank Responsibilities

• Visual inspection on tank using gauges for shell, bottom plates, roof plates and piping.

• Preparing ITP for the given scope of work.

• Corrosion monitoring in shell, piping, floating roof, bottom plate, etc.

• Reviewing and action plan on ultrasonic testing survey on shell, roof plates and piping of tank.

• Monitoring the SLOFEC & MFL inspection on bottom plate for top and bottom side corrosion.

• Supervising and preparing documents for all NDT activities carried out on tank ,

• Monitoring and action plan for all inspection carried out on tank as per API 653 and client request.

• Monitoring and action plan for repairing activities as per code.

• Preparing Request for inspection report for all inspection activities in the tank and reporting client about daily progress.

• Liaise with QC Engineer and client representative for day-to-day quality related activities of the project/ onshore and offshore.

• Review of all approved WPS.

• Inward material inspection as per the ASME section II.

• Supervise & Monitor the Welding activities as per client procedure Quality Control Plan and according to ASME IX, ASME VIII AND API 1104, API 653 and ASME B31.3 standards.

• Visual Inspection of welds and accepting as per ASME B31.3 specifications and preparing reports.

• Conducting welder Qualification Test as per client approved WPS

• Monitoring and Inspection of fit-up for pipe joints with dimensional and orientation, welding activities in all area of the project as per welding and fit-up inspection request from construction foreman and supervisor.

• Witnessing welding activities during welding like Inter Pass temperature and Inter Pass cleaning.

• Monitoring welding consumable control, welder’s qualification and welding activities at fabrication shop and field as per the (QCP).

• Visual inspection of welds joints for different materials by different process

• Preparing various documents such as welding inspection report prior to endorsement to the client and Project Management Team (PMT) to raise Request for Inspection (RFI) for final acceptance.

• Weld mapping of ISO drawings

• Preparation and review of test packages

• Erection and punch listing of pipe spools

• Monitoring the status of Non Conformities of items and their disposition.

• Preparing welding summary and documents for Hydro test.

• Witness for Hydro test.

• Interpretation of Radiographs UT result as per ASME section VIII.

• Witnessing non-destructive testing for welds which involves R.T, M.T, P.T, and U.T & PWHT.

• Preparing the project close out documents.

• Monitoring trenching depth and pipe laying.

• Witness for strip coating & holiday testing.

• Witness for Cathode protection.

• Preparing corrosion mapping for tank shell plate and floating roof.

• Preparing recommendation for shell plate and floating roof according to API 653.

• Preparing weld visual, fit up, NDT, line history sheet and hydro test for articulated pipe and deluge piping.

• Conducting visual inspection for pontoons on the floating roof.
