COSMOS is one of the biggest applications in UHG, COSMOS stands for Comprehensive Online Software for Management and Operational Support.
COSMOS refers to the administrative system software tool that is used to generate premium bills, adjudicate and pay claims, generate ID cards, maintain eligibility and provider demographics and contracts, fee schedules, hospital contracts, member benefits, authorization/referral records, capitation data.
COSMOS is an END to End process. It deals from the point where claim enters into the system to check write. The major processes involved are Claim Entry, Adjudication, Check Write, Calc Process.
In COSMOS Development we get various business changes requirement, enhancements to existing functionalities and introduction of new functionalities in terms of SPRF’s.
