Resume:

*/****-*/**** ******** by Americold Logistics. I was hired in as a forklift operator with duties of stocking and pulling freight using a.vehicle mounted computer which shows the operator where to pull or stock and also kept up with produced numbers of the operator. I moved up to a checker position with duties of counting and the verification of the product received or shipped with a bill of lading or order form. I was moved into a lead position with duties of monitoring employees production while doing the previous duties. I was responsible for the development of new employees and ran the shift in the absence of the supervisor.

I took on new responsibilities as I became the Safety Coordinator for the facility while also being a leadman. My responsibilities was to ensure the facility followed all safety guidelines and reported any unsafe structure or noncomplience. I had the duty of holding weekly and monthly safety meetings and being in charge of the safety committee that was made up of regular employees from all shifts and departments. The monthly safety minutes from the committee had to be sent to the corporate office in a report and emailed. I served as the Safety Coordinator for two years and am proud to say that there was not a lost time accident during my tenure.

I took the second shift supervisor position with duties including shift planning, giving out assignments, and ensure my crew met or exceeded production levels set by the Ops Manager. I was responsible for counselling and to discipline employees when production was not met but I also recognized individuals that exceeded production. After a year of being a supervisor I was promoted to the position of Lead Supervisor.

The job of lead supervisor was to develop existing supervisors and leads and to help implement new ways for the facility to run leaner.I reported directly to the Operations Manager and was responsible for being his backup when he was absent. During this time I was responsible for keeping up with vacation/off time and putting in payroll. Daily interaction with the customers was required. Any new changes the customer needed had to be communicated by me to the other supervisors. While holding the Lead Supervisor position I also served as the facilities QC/QA Supervisor. This job included keeping our records and books up to date.I had to make sure the facility followed Kaizen principles such as the 5 s (sort, straighten, scrub, systematize, standardize) .I also had to conduct daily audits internally to make sure the inventory was correct and product that was received on hold or put on hold after it was received was labelled correctly.

During the last six weeks of my job at Americold Logistics I served as the Ops Manager. This job had become vacant. Responsibilities included keeping up with machinery, why it was down, when will it be operational, keeping track of manpower and materials. I had to run daily production reports for the General Manager and the corporate office. This data was gathered off of production computers (Kiosk).

8/1994-9/1997 I was employed by Culp. Aluminium Alloys. I was hired in as a laborer with duties of stacking ingots and transporting them to the warehouse were they would cool and then I would ban them. I was one of the first employees to be over the stacker machine when it was put into production. This machine stacked ingots so they did not have to be manually stacked. I moved up and took a furnace driver job. I was instructed by the furnace leader what to charge into the furnace using a front -end loader.I was able to advance quickly and became the sweat furnace leader. This was a small furnace that melted the aluminium off of scrap metal. The aluminium would melt off of different metal because off the temperature difference between aluminium and iron, magnesium, and other metal.

I advanced to a furnace helper with duties of helping the leader keep production up on the big furnace. I helped clean ash off of the molten aluminium. When the furnace was tapped I was responsible for getting the sludge off of the aluminium after it was poured into moldings. Every ingot had to be done before it reached the stacker. I moved into the furnace leader position after being a helper for over a year.I was responsible for taking samples to take to the lab to see what metals needed to added to make a certain alloy that complied with a customers specifications.Duties also included advising the furnace crew what bin to get metal from and help clean ash off the aluminium.
