I sign every resident ,who is allowed out, out. I have to know how to approach them in a calm manner and assure them that everything is ok. I also have the responsibility to make sure that all the residents who aren’t allowed outside stay in the facility. Within 8 months of working here I was promoted to smoke monitor. Being smoke monitor, I have to responsibility to make sure every resident is safe and monitor their smoking habits. When there is a fight between two residents, I stay calm and stop them before the hurt each other. Staying calm in a situation is very important because you can affect the way a person feels.
