Created three cardiac specialty inpatient nursing units
Coordinated purchase and installation of a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization Lab in 2002 and replaced second lab in 2006. As a result AMMC cath lab volumes have increased from 288% from baseline in 2000. In 2003, expanded the Cath Lab area to include a 4-bed pre- and post-procedure holding room to improve patient throughput and both physician/patient satisfaction. In 2006, Anaheim Memorial Medical Center cath lab performed 4509 billable procedures as contrasted to 1538 procedures in calendar year 2000 before serviceline line and technology upgrades.
2003 initiated a Women and Heart Disease program to conduct risk assessment and screenings for women to provide much needed community outreach. This program saw 499 women for a screen in 2006.
2005 initiated a vascular screening program to conduct risk assessments and screenings for patient with vascular symptoms. This program saw 105 patients in 2006.
Implemented a heart failure clinic to reduce the re-admission of heart failure patients.
Hosted the first ever CV Service Line Retreat with physicians, clinical staff and administrative leadership to assess the future of the cardiovascular service line and to develop business models to realize future potential of the service line.
Developed and manages data program for CV outcome measures including 100% case review of all cath lab procedures and open heart procedures. Data to Society of Thoracic Surgeons, California CABG data collection and AHA Get with the Guidelines.
Responsible for Heart Failure team and Acute MI Core Measures team that led to success in these two areas of quality measurement. These along with Pneumonia Core Measure scores led to AMMC being ranked in Top 100 Hospitals in the nation by Total Health Solutions for past two years.

Attendance of course varied from cath lab directors and managers, physicians and cath lab staff. Scheduled to teach “Cath Lab Update 2001” in Florida, Deep South and Texas in 2001 spring and fall.
