Currently serving as a consultant to invisibleShield in Tampa FL. I have
helped them expand their business base from a retail only business model
to an OEM second tier supplier source. This has proven to be a very
successful and profitable venture. Several large OEM’s and end-users of hand held
electronic devices are utilizing my client as their sole supplier of custom
protective screen and whole body protective covers. This in turn has
greatly increased the service life of their products and significantly reduced
damage and warranty claims resulting in an overall higher profits.
I am also advising this company on their expansion into South America. My client expects to begin exporting product and entering into a joint venture with a Columbian national to supply products to the computer and cellular phone markets in the South American markets.
EIS Inc. (a subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company) 1990 – 2008 Atlanta, GA
Division Industrial Business Manager - Managed the rebuilding of our industrial business base at our Salt Lake City facility as well as managed all Industrial MRO and 3M Industrial Business for our Western Division. Worked closely with our e-Business manager to develop 3M industrial product content for our company web site (www.eis-inc.com) and our Shop EIS web site. Served as contact person between key industrial vendors and our facilities located throughout the Western US. Worked jointly with our OSR’s to develop sales action plans and addressed and corrected weaknesses within our current customer base.
Grew our market share within the geography serviced by our Salt Lake City facility and consistently met all growth expectations for the division.
Industrial Market Segment Manager – Managed the sales and marketing efforts of our 3M IB (Industrial Business) and industrial MRO market segments across the US and Maquillas. Managed the transition of all MRO industrial products sales and purchases from our sister company (ASG) to direct purchase agreements with EIS. Was one of only 10 supplier representatives asked to attend a meeting with Kimberly-Clark to assist them in putting together their WGTM (Work Place Go To Market) program. Developed sales action plans, target account lists and training schedules with key industrial vendors and our division managers. Grew our new MRO industrial program from virtually nothing to over $3.5 million
annually in 1 year. In addition, under my direction, our 3M business grew to over $41 million and placed EIS as the largest distributor of 3M EMD products in the US.
3M / EIS Industrial Market Specialist – Co-op 3M Electrical Markets (EMD) and 3M Industrial Business (IB) market specialist. Responsible
nationally for all 3M EMD and 3M IB sales and marketing functions for EIS. Worked directly with 3M senior management to develop joint target accounts, action plans and field sales support to close sales opportunities for both 3M IB and 3M EMD divisions. Under my direction sales increased from $12 million to over $30 million annually for these two 3M divisions. This success led to my promotion to Industrial Market Segment Manager for the US with EIS.
EIS Western Division 3M and Industrial Business Specialist – Managed both our MRO industrial and 3M market segments for the Western Division. Increased sales for this region from $2.1 million annually to over $5.4 million annually. Worked with all OSR’s in the division to help them identify and close industrial opportunities within their territories. Also oversaw and conducted the industrial products training of all sales reps within the division. My success in this role led to my promotion to 3M / EIS Industrial Market Specialist nationally.
EIS Outside Sales Representative/Sales Manager – Managed key accounts for EIS within Utah and Idaho. Consistently grew sales year after year at better then the expected +10% annual growth rates. Maintained a $2.3 million annual sales district. Controlled better than 70% of the 3M Industrial Business market share in Utah. Worked primarily with key accounts and larger OEM’s within these markets. In addition I held a dual role as Sales Manager and OSR. I was responsible for the management of 4 OSR’s located at our Salt Lake City facility as well as 3 ISR’s. I was promoted from this role to EIS Western Division 3M and Industrial Business Specialist.
