Has the capacity and the experienced required to inspect and implement all job-related aspect of quality control inspection and the procedure implementation. Knowledgeable in the inspection of welding / piping & static / rotating equipment such as vertical & horizontal vessel, drum and internal installation, heat exchanger, pumps, compressor, air cooled heat exchanger, generator and Industrial Effluent Treatment Plant Equipment. (IETP) & Refinery Equipment Plant. And has capacity to impose implementation of the company and the client approved quality control program.

QA/QC Mechanical Inspector

• Currently working in SKE&C Co. Ltd. as a QA/QC Mechanical Inspector carries out

material receiving inspection, piping and equipment installation inspection.

• Review subcontractor quality documents such as ITP/ Method Statement/ WPS/WPQR

• Responsible for inspection of static and rotating equipment as per MS/ ITP

• Monitor inspection progress and ensure upon completion of the work, that all required quality

report have been collected and filed

• Review plans, issued for construction drawing work details and specification

• Supervise for the erection/ installation o static and rotating / package equipment

• To manage the inspection of materials, equipment and workmanship for conformance to plan and

specification

• Prepare and develop inspection and test plan and QC procedure

• Witnessing of equipment installation and steel structural reaction

• Responsible for the installation and preparing a report on mechanical equipment

• Check and review issued construction drawings, plans, work details and specification to ensure

that all works are implemented at site conforms to project quality and safety requirements.

• Supervise control erection of contractor for the erection / installation of mechanical static & rotating equipment such as reactor, column, drums, exchangers, reboilers, condenser, vent stack, volume tank, analyzer house, pumps and compressor, agitator, air cooled heat exchanger, and other related equipment. Responsible for the inspection and preparing report on static and rotating equipment.

• Monitoring and implementation of approved QA/QC procedure by the client. Oversee and render closed physical inspection of the project execution in accordance with the plan and specification.

• Maintain records of progress, quantity, change, delays and other aspect affecting construction

and installation activities.

• Report to QC Manager / Coordinate with COMPANY/ Subcontractor.

• Responsible to organize, implement, conduct and manage the QA/QC programs as per the company quality policy and contract specification requirements of the project.

• Coordinate the document controls of technical submittal, drawings and etc.

• To work as a front line engineer and to coordinate with all inspection, monitor the required test and record inspection and tests made as per PQP and contract specifications and attainment of quality requirement.

• Review drawing and documents prior to commencement of various works.

• Activities include welding inspection, review of welding procedures and welder qualifications. Assists in QA/QC review of sub-contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Method Statement. Perform surveillance of materials control, witness on various test such as hydrostatic test, Pneumatic test and etc., to ensure compliance with project requirements and specification.

• Check before welding the groove if it is in the accordance with the WPS/ API – 1104.

• Checking the roundness or difference in thickness of the tack weld and pipe fit-up inspection, including pipe thickness & pipe interval. Inspection of the welding rod use in the tack weld before proceeding in full welding joint. Be sure that the joints to be weld are cleaned by power brush or grinder.

• Check the welding condition including welding equipment, welding specification, and shield use.

• Check the interpass temperature, the number of root pass required. These include the external inspection of welding joint – inner and outer pipe offset, under cut and crack & any discontinuities on the welding joint after welding.

• Liaise with client’s representative for conducting of day to day inspection of the project.

• Prepare daily and weekly production report and weld mapping.
