Reviewer in ECCE2012 conference.
• Design, simulation and hardware implementation of the Grid connected Inverter in standalone (SA) and grid connected (GC) mode and the transition between two modes.
- Developed a new predictive current control algorithm in grid connected mode
- A new transition algorithm from SA to GC and GC to SA Using Analog device ADSP BF506 microcontroller
-Designed a four layer PCB for a 20KW inverter with current and voltage sensing and fault protection circuit using Schematic Capture and Layout Plus.
-Synchronization between the Utility Grid and the inverter is achieved and power flow controlled bi-directionally (charging/discharging)
• Design and hardware implementation of a Battery charger (20 kW AC-DC boost charger) for Hybrid Electric Vehicle charging station using 3 phase inverter.
- Developed a new current control algorithm for the charging system of the vehicle.
• Developed and Implemented a Volt/Hz controller for a 3-Phase Induction Motor
-Developed a control algorithm using Microchip dsPICDEM MCHV Development Board -Different phase voltages, line voltages and phase currents for variable resistive loads were analyzed -Dead band effects, transient effects of the Induction Machine were analyzed.
• Design and hardware implementation of the harmonic cancellation of the weak grid.
-Using the recursive method to find out the phase and the magnitude of the harmonics in the dq-axis and the opposite high frequencies is injected in the grid to make the grid voltage sinusoidal.
• Design and hard ware implementation of a 50 W buck converter using 3524 IC (voltage control feedback to vary the PWM signal of the MOSFET switch.
