Description:

The CMIS rewrite provides the opportunity to replace the current system in the Judicial Branch with a new application supported by a modern application architecture and data model. There are currently 2,500 users of the CMIS system who generate approximately 200 to 500 database transactions per second. For many of these users, CMIS is a mission critical application. The design, construction and implementation of the current system has serious deficiencies that make it impossible to remediate the application sufficiently to provide the required data integrity, reliability, security and performance.

Redesigning CMIS will enhance the ability for Judicial to support and extend the CMIS functionality, add additional features, and improve application availability and performance. Long-term application maintenance costs and the time to respond to needed changes and enhancements will be reduced.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for requirements gathering, technical assessment and specifications, technical design and coding of system forms used by both customers and business employees.

Liaise with Project Manager for any improvements to software standards and procedures.

Worked on design, development and testing of a core Issue Management System business web application used by CBIZ Employees. The system allows better management of all the problems by raising tickets for each problem. All the raised tickets will be circulated as emails. Opened tickets have to be closed within 7 days. Failing to do so, managers are sent mails regarding the opened tickets. The system was designed to integrate with all departments to access information about all the opened tickets in all the departments.

This was a migration project from a legacy VB 6.0 application to a Microsoft VB.NET application with a SQL Server back-end. Included numerous complex crystal reports.
