Welder/Mechanic, Lear Siegler Services, Inc. (Fort Carson, CO), May 2004 – February 2010.
In this position, I was responsible for fabricating all repairs on military vehicles on the spot. I ordered the necessary steel, dictated work order reports, performed MIG and ARC welding and operated a cutting torch. I also analyzed hydraulic, fuel and electrical guages. I performed routine maintenance and inspection on vehicles and pulled unit parts. Maintaining a safe working environment was a high priority in this environment.
Instructor, Lear Siegler Services, Inc. (Kuwait, Iraq), September 2006 – December 2006.
As an instructor, I trained Army personnel in the installation of armor on combat vehicles. I oversaw the installations and performed inspections on the vehicles. I was also responsible for the inventory of the armor kits and maintaining effective communication with my superiors.
