Objective
To advance in my career with a Construction/Real Estate/related company in a position that applies my skills and experience in acquiring/estimating/managing construction projects.
Summary of Qualifications
I have 30-plus years of experience in supervising, estimating and managing residential commercial construction projects. I am experienced with both new and remodeling work. I have also done a lot of tenant finish-out projects. I am most familiar with Timberline Estimating, Expedition Project Management and Sure-track Scheduling software.
I am also very capable with Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets. I have successfully negotiated numerous Owner and Subcontractor agreements, and managed multiple projects simultaneously. I have assisted with design and lay-out work and have provided value engineering that has resulted in time and money savings. I get along well with people, am very detail oriented and organized. I work well with a team or on my own. I have worked on projects ranging in size from a few thousand dollars to over $100 million. I began my career as a carpenter, then was a field superintendent for several years. Later, I was an estimator and chief estimator. Most recently I have worked primarily as a project manager and director of construction for a developer. I have also been involved in marketing. I am committed to customer service and satisfaction. While I have had much competitive bid experience, I have also worked on many negotiated design-build projects.
