Dates: Sept 2012 – present

Role: Associate Lecturer in Business (specialising in small business planning,

strategy, communication and marketing). A part-time role which allows me to complete

freelance work (writing, editing).

Employer: Fashion Retail Academy, London

Dates: Dec 2007- May 2012

Role: Lecturer in Business, Marketing, Strategy and Management, North Herts

College.

Responsibilities: Lecturing and preparing materials for undergraduate and

postgraduate courses (strategic management, communication, marketing). Project

supervision.

Dates: 2003 to 2007.

Role: Marketing Consultant. (self employed).

I supported several small businesses with their marketing. Work included writing

marketing strategies for professional services companies, training staff in customer

service, running workshops in retaining and delighting customers, writing bids for

charitable organisations.

Role: Writer/copy-editor. (self employed)

I worked on a freelance basis for major publishing companies. I designed their online undergraduate

courses in Marketing, HRM, Accountancy and Strategic Management.

Role: Marketing Manager. Booker Belmont Wholesale Ltd, Northants.

Responsible for a £1.2 million budget in this head office role for a leading food distribution company. I

developed a portfolio of own-brands and managed the marketing for all of these.

Hobbies/Interests

I am currently studying with the Writers’ Bureau to produce publishable fiction and non

fiction materials. Have successfully had my poetry published. I also enjoy reading,

hiking, tennis and cookery.
