Project title: “RECOGNITION OF HUMAN IRIS PATTERN FOR BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION”

Description: In today’s information age, it is not difficult to collect data about an individual and use that information to exercise control over the individuals with the rapid development of the technology; it is more difficult to maintain the levels of privacy citizens knew in the past, in this context data security has become an inevitable feature.

Since the persons to be identified should be physically present at the point of identification, biometric technique gives high security for the sensitive information stored in main frames. This technology finds applications in diverse fields.

Methodology

Major Steps of any biometrics, including Iris scan, are discussed below:-

• Image Acquisition.

It is the process of acquiring high definition iris images either from iris scanner or precollected images. These images should clearly show the entire eye especially iris and pupil part.

• Preprocessing.

In automated analysis of digital images, a sub problem often arises of detecting simple shapes, such as straight lines, circles or ellipses. In many cases an edge detector can be used as a pre-processing stage to obtain image points or image pixels that are on the desired curve in the image space.

• Feature extraction

The set of pixels covering only the iris is then transformed into a bit pattern that preserves the information.

• Matching of an Image

To authenticate via identification (one-to-many template matching) or verification (one to-one template matching), a template created by imaging the iris is compared to a stored value template in a database.

Description: This project describes the implementation of booth multiplier using verilog coding . Compare to other multiplier , booth multipler gives high speed , low power and reduces the area .

2. Project title: Mini project on “Implemention of LFSR counter ”:

Description: This project describes the design and simulation of LFSR counter using dsch 2 and microwind 2.
